THE VILLAIN:    Doctor Julius No (Joseph Wiseman) - half-German, half-Chinese implacable genius, lost hands in radiation experiments, replaced them with powerful metal hands, works in the service of SPECTRE.

 

SUB-VILLAINS:    Mr Jones (Reginald Cater) - operative for Doctor No, poses as a chauffeur, takes cyanide rather than reveal information.

                                Professor R J Dent (Anthony Dawson) - local operative working for Doctor No, metallurgist, well-connected in Jamaican society.

                                Miss Taro (Zena Marshall) - secretary working in Government House in Kingston, Jamaica.

                                The Photographer (Margaret LeWars - credited as Maguerite LeWars) - attractive Doctor No operative assigned to photograph 007.

 

VILLAIN'S PLOT:    Interferes with US rocket launches by means of an atomic-powered radio beam which overwhelms ground control instructions.

 

BOND WOMEN:    Honey Ryder (Ursula Andress) - beautiful orphaned daughter of a marine biologist killed by Doctor No.

                                Sylvia Trench (Eunice Gayson) - wealthy woman whom Bond meets at a London casino across the chemin de fer table.

 

BONDS ALLIES:    Felix Leiter (Jack Lord) - Bond's CIA ally.

                                Quarrel (John Kitzmiller - credited as John Kitzmuller) - local fisherman working for secret service station chief John Strangways during the times of Strangway's murder, and later for Felix Leiter and James Bond.

                                Pleydell-Smith (Louis Blaazer) - Principal  Secretary working for the British government.

 

THE BOND TEAM:    M (Bernard Lee) - head of the British Secret Service, an authoritative father figure who sends Bond on his missions.

                                    Miss Moneypenny (Lois Maxwell) - M's secretary who, for many years, enjoys a flirtatious relationship with 007.

                                    Major Boothroyd (Peter Burton) - the Armourer working for the British Secret Service.

 

BOND'S GADGETS:    None, save for Bond's Walther PPK (which replaced his Beretta pistol) and a Geiger counter.
